Bio
Born and raised in San Diego, Dr. Shelby Esambolchi graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She completed her clinical externships at a community health clinic, ophthalmology practice, the San Diego Naval hospital, and a group private practice. Dr. Esambolchi is experienced in LASIK and cataract surgery co-management, contact lens fittings, and diagnosis and management of ocular disease, amblyopia, and dry eye. She has served as a volunteer for Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, providing comprehensive eye exams in Fiji and Mexico. In her free time, Dr. Esambolchi enjoys traveling, pilates, and photography. She loves working with patients and looks forward to taking care of all your eye care needs.
